Hi there, we are planning on taking our 4&5 year old boys to Disney World and was wondering when would be a great time to take them, with less crowds.

    Hi Christine,

There are several times during the year that you can visit Disney World without experiencing huge crowds.  Mid January through early February is a great time.  It's nice to get away from the bitter cold up north and head to milder climates.  Just avoid the Martin Luther King holiday weekend.

The month of September is also a great time to go.  The crowds are typically light, and this year you can take advantage of FREE dining!  Also, the parks are decorated for Halloween, and on select nights you can purchase tickets to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  Click HERE for more information on this fun event.

My favorite time of year is early December.  The first couple weeks of the month usually has light crowds, and you can take advantage of all the holiday events.

    Hope this helps.

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
