    Hello, I am planning on taking my kids (7&5) to Disneyland or CA Adventure. We are celebrating my Daughter's 8th Birthday. My question is, which park is better for their ages? I'm on a budget and can't go to both :( I don't know where to go. help!

    Hi there Brenda,

    As much as I love California Adventure, ESPECIALLY since the recent Grand Reopening to include the new Buena Vista Street and Cars Land (Based upon the Disney-Pixar motion picture, Cars)... I think I have to urge you to visit Disneyland if it is not possible for you to visit both.  

    Disneyland is the original park and really highlights the essence of "Disney" with nostalgic touches and magical decor.  The majority of the attractions at Disneyland Park will be suitable for both of your children, while several at California Adventure enforce height restrictions!  When your daughters walk through the entryway and spy Sleeping Beauty Castle in the distance you'll notice the looks of awe on their faces and you'll know you made the right decision!

    Be sure to visit Town Hall in the square as you enter the park.  Here, your daughter will be able to grab a FREE special "Happy Birthday" button which will earn her lots of recognition throughout this magical day!

    Be sure to check the website and local ticket outlets such as Vons Grocery and Costco for special promotional tickets, especially if you are a Socal resident!  Oftentimes, the Park Hopper option can be purchased for dollars extra per person.  If you are able to add the "hopper" you could visit one park in the morning, before "hopping" to the other later in the day!
