I am planning on taking my daughter to WDW for the first time in 2013. She will be turning 3 on June 1 of that year. What is the best time of year to take her for her first visit? We would love to plan our vacation when crowds are a bit lower.

    Hi Dawn!!!

Congratulations on planning your daughter's first Walt Disney World Vacation!!!  I know that you must be so excited!!!!

I, personally, would take her before her birthday in 2013.  Children under three are free.  If you take her before her birthday, the best time to go would be during the month of May.  You will have wonderful weather and the Spring Break crowds would have decreased.  If you take her after her birthday, I would recommend going in the month of September.  The temperatures will be a little on the warm side, but since schools are back in session, the crowds will be very manageable.

Please let me know if you have any other questions about your three year old as I have a three year old and he has been to Walt Disney World numerous times!!!

    Have a magical day!!
