I am planning on taking my daughter to Disney in April I was wondering what are the best dates to go? When are the schools on vacation in most states? Also, which resort should we stay in? its our first time staying in a resort, we usually rent a villa.

Hi Elena!  April is in the middle of spring breaks but certainly the two weeks to try to avoid if possible are those that surround Easter weekend. Those will find the most crowds in the parks and if you can choose something else it is suggested.  Other weeks might find crowds but not all states have the same spring break so it is never unmanageable.

You did not mention how old your daughter is which can make a huge difference in recommending a resort.  If she loves to swim then I suggest the Yacht or Beach Club resorts as they share the best pool facility on property. It is a three acre pool with sandy bottom areas and a great pirate ship slide as well as a small lazy river.  If your daughter loves animals then I strongly suggest the Animal Kingdom Lodge. There are always animal experts on hand to explain those that live on the savannahs and all guests enjoy waking up in the morning to a giraffe right off their balcony!  If being close to the Magic Kingdom is important then one of the three monorail resorts is a great choice.

My choice for a moderate resort is Port Orleans French Quarter and for the value category my choice is Pop Century or the new Art of Animation resort.
