I am planning on surprising my son with a trip in November. How do you find out what parks are open after hours for those staying at Disney Resorts? Also, how do you know the scheudle and price for special events like the Mickey's Christmas parade?

    Hi Catherine,

That is the best surprise ever, I am sure he will be ecstatic!  You have a few different options for getting the Extra Magic Hour times (EMH) and dates.  The first way is when you check into your WDW Resort, they will give you a guide sheet (these are also located on the front desk for you to pick-up at any time) which is good for a week at a time and there you will be able to see each of the Parks listed (as well as hours of operation for Downtown Disney, Water Parks, Mini-Golf, etc...) for each day and the days and times that they are offering either the early morning EMH or evening EMH so you can plan your days in advance.  The other option is to look at the Calendar for each of the Theme Parks on the WDW website (these are usually updated up to 6 months in advance) and you will be able to see the EMH listed there as well.

As far as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, just take a look at the link I provided you with and there you will be able to see when they release the dates for 2011 as well as how to purchase your tickets once the dates are announced.  Hope this helps and I wish you a very magical trip!

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
