I am planning a surprise visit to Disney for my girls. I need to have our magic bands sent to us but I'm concerned that the girls will see the package before I can get the mail. Does the outside of the packaging being mailed show what is inside?

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your surprise visit to Walt Disney World sounds like so much fun! I would never be able to pull off a surprise trip as I am terrible at keeping secrets, especially really exciting ones! You have nothing to worry about with the packaging on the Magic Bands. It comes in a small rectangular cardboard box with no design. The shipping label doesn't even say Walt Disney World, so you should be fine if the package is delivered before you have a chance to hide it. Once you open the cardboard box, there will be another box with identifiable Disney Characters on it, so you might want to open the package in private.

If you are still toying around with ideas on how to surprise your princesses, there was a recent article on the Disney Parks Blog that highlighted some cute ways to break the news. My favorite is the treasure hunt.

I hope your Walt Disney World vacation is full of "pixie-dust" and magical memories. If you have any more questions, please stop by and we'd be happy to help.
