    Hello! I am planning a surprise trip for my mother and I, and will be using the Disney Dining Plan. Just wondering, what's your opinion on the best bang-for-your-buck use of the snack credits at the parks? Those Mickey-shaped soft pretzels look tasty. :)

    Hi Molly,

    As a rule of thumb, anything over $3 is a good investment. One of our best purchases was a fruit smoothie at Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies for breakfast since it counted as a snack; it was over $4 a smoothie (as of summer 2011). 

    If you visit www.disneyfoodblog.com and do a search for "snack credits," you'll find a handful of articles discussing the best snacks on the dining plan (including one of best values) with lots of yummy photos that are certain to make your tummy rumble!

    And there are lots of snacks that are great to bring home; we always come home with a big box of fudge to bring a little magic home (all covered by the standard Disney Dining Plan).
