Hi there David, wishing you a very Royal planDisney welcome!
This upcoming April is definitely a great time for a surprise Walt Disney World Resort visit, especially with the end of the
50th Anniversary Celebration bringing the return of beloved
Nighttime Spectaculars that are sure to dazzle us at
Magic Kingdom Park with the sounds of
Happily Ever After once again!
If you're anything like my husband and I, we definitely missed this show and have fond memories of being able to watch from the unique vantage points offered at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. During our most recent stay
we were able to watch the fireworks from Bay Lake Tower; the Housekeeping Cast Members let us know to tune in to channel 105 on the television in order to listen to the music synchronized with the show. This is however subject to change and availability, especially with the changes occurring just ahead of your trip. I would recommend confirming with the Cast Members at the Front Desk as you check in just to be sure!
This past year, we've also been able to take in the sights and enjoy the show from
California Grill; they do a wonderful job of dimming the lights and piping in the music for everyone to enjoy. It even has the additional bonus of being able to walk out onto the outdoor viewing platforms and really feel like we were at the height of the fireworks! However you choose to enjoy the show, I really do hope that you'll be able to hear the soundtrack from where you are - it really was a big part of why I think Happily Ever After resonated with so many fellow fans.
Be sure to come back to planDisney to
ask me for any more answers, tip and tricks that I may be able to bestow upon you ahead of your journey down to Florida. Hope the surprise goes off without a hitch and you're able to enjoy a fantastic view as you reach out and find your Happily Ever After once again!
