So we're planning surprise 7nght trip to WDW for our now 3yr & 6yr old. Trying to decide bet a 5d or 6d hopper pass. Is the Deluxe Din Plan worth it? Looking at the Art of Animation (mermaid) room, how's that resort? Pls suggest a timeline for the kid

    Hello Ebony!

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is such a fun place to stay at.  I stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms this past December and had a great time.  If you are looking for a resort that exudes Disney and excites little ones (and adults too) to simply be there - Art of Animation is just what you are looking for. There is Disney magic around every corner from friendly Cast Members to the perfect photo op at one of the themed areas of the resort to the super awesome pool parties that everyone can enjoy.  I can't recommend it enough - plus it's budget friendly!

When my family and I go to Walt Disney World we opt for the Standard Dining Plan that has 1 quick service credit, 1 table service and 1 snack credit per night.  It's perfect for my family because we love having 1 nice sit down meal a day on vacation whether it be a character breakfast to jump start the day or dinner at a place like 'Ohana to watch the fireworks at night.  Most of the table service meals we love are only 1 table service credit and we don't want to take too much time away from the parks for another one, so we just can't justify it.  The standard plan is plenty of food for all of us each day.  Sometimes we even have a few credits left over at the end of our trip.  However, if you think you would like to dine at several Signature Dining Experiences that require 2 credits per person, the Deluxe Dining Plan might be for you.

Hopefully when deciding how many days to purchase tickets for, you'll consider a day away from the parks.  The resort pool is so much fun and my family and I love visiting Downtown Disney.  We always plan a midweek break day to relax.

I'm sorry that your last question got cut off.  If you'd like to ask me it again, I'd be more than happy to help.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
