Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Brant!
Welcome to planDisney, and excellent work on keeping this very magical visit a surprise. I’m sure your wife is going to love every minute of it!
Your theory is correct, my husband and I just tested it. I did a trial
ticket link to him, and he was not notified. He then started making
dining reservations for us on his end, and I didn’t receive a notification either. The only way the two of us saw anything was by actually going into the
My Disney Experience app and looking at the “My Plans” section. Sidenote, we have an upcoming visit that we both know about, so please don’t worry about me spoiling the surprise on my end.
And jokingly, thank goodness he isn’t notified because there have been plenty of occasions where I have booked a resort, purchased theme park tickets, and even made dining reservations before even telling him! It usually happens while he’s at work. So there’s nothing better than, “Welcome home, and surprised I booked us another visit!”. Honestly, though, he’s the best and so supportive of my Disney habits. I think I've started growing on him. Especially since he’s been booking most of our upcoming dining reservations.
Brant, I hope this helps ease your worries so that you can get back to planning and finalizing this visit. Please enjoy every moment of this visit and take plenty of photos. And if there’s anything else you need help with, please don’t hesitate
to ask!
Magical Memories,
Shantel
