    I am planning a suprise for my husband and 2 children for next Christmas 2016 . When are the lights and decorations up for Christmas?

    Hi Marjorie,

    Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel.  It’s going to be the most awesome surprise ever! In addition, may I say that you are picking the most amazing time of the year to visit.  A trip to Disney is already magical, but with the Christmas decorations on, it’s something unforgettable. Usually, they start the Christmas decorations right after Halloween. However, if I were you, I would wait about ten days after, so the decorations must be done at all major theme parks. It takes more time for the decorations to be ready at the resorts and also for the awesome life size Gingerbread House, that they usually displayed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You should follow Disney Parks Blog to know about the upcoming events, decorations and more. You can wait for the announcement of the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates for 2016. Magic Kingdom it’s going to be fully decorated for the first date.  You can use as a guide, dates for the previous years, but remember only as a guide because it’s not accurate information.
