Ahoy, Elizabeth!
I'm thrilled to hear you're planning my favorite kind of Disney vacation - a
Land and Sea adventure! Not only will you be enjoying the fun and fantasy of the
Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, but also the elegance and splendor of a Disney Cruise Line vacation. Any vacation that takes me from sand castles to Cinderella Castle - count me in! Your daughter is certainly in for quite a magical getaway for her birthday celebration.
It's very easy to set up Disney Ground Transportation between Port Canaveral (Disney Cruise Line's home port) and the Walt Disney World Resort. Ground transfers currently cost $35 per person each way (prices always subject to change), and can be arranged by calling the folks at Disney Cruise Line at (800)951-3532. A few weeks before your cruise, you'll receive a packet containing your important cruise documents and special luggage tags. If you're flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO), you'll attach your tags to your luggage before leaving home. Once you arrive in Orlando, you'll be able to skip baggage claim and head straight to Disney's Magical Express area - Side B, Level 1. Your checked bags will be sent straight to your stateroom on the ship! (Make sure to pack a day bag with all the essentials - travel documents, camera, medications, passports, etc.) At the conclusion of your cruise, you'll go through customs before boarding a comfy, deluxe motorcoach that will whisk you away to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel to begin the second leg of your magical adventure.
Disney Cruise Line ground transfers guarantee a seamless transition from land to sea and back again! I hope this information is helpful when planning your future Disney Cruise Line vacation. Have a pixie-dusted day! - Diane W.
