I am planning on going straight from the Orlando airport to Magic Kingdom. Would I be able to ride the monorail from a nearby resort and be dropped off at the resort via Uber or Lyft, or do I need to go to the ticket and transportation to ride the monorail

Welcome to planDisney, Brittany! Wow, it sounds like we have so much in common because I also try to squeeze every minute of magic out of my trips to Walt Disney World Resort. Heading straight to Magic Kingdom Park from the airport sounds like a great idea, so let's chat about how you can do it.

Brittany, it is not possible to take a rideshare to a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel to ride the monorail or walk to Magic Kingdom Park. Only guests staying at those Resort Hotels or guests with dining reservations will be admitted in a personal vehicle at the security gate. I definitely understand that you're wanting to see Cinderella Castle as soon as you can, and there's no need to worry because the trip from the Transportation and Ticket Center is very quick! You can take the express monorail directly there or enjoy a breezy ferry boat ride, which takes a little bit longer but is my personal favorite form of magical transportation. You'll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. before you can say Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!

I hope this answers your question, Brittany, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
