Hi there, James! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
One of the most exciting parts of planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is choosing which
Disney Resorts Collection hotel to call your home away from home. There are so many amazing resorts to pick from, each with its own unique theme and style, that it's sometimes difficult to narrow down your selection. Luckily, Guests are welcome to visit a Disney Resorts Collection hotel even if they are not staying at that property. I love visiting the various resort hotels to
enjoy a meal, do some
shopping, stroll the grounds, watch the
fireworks, or simply soak up the atmosphere.
James, I'm happy to tell you that you may certainly visit your family members at their Disney Resorts Collection hotel. There are just a few things that you'll want to keep in mind when planning your visit. Parking at Disney Resorts Collection hotels is reserved for Guests staying at that particular resort hotel and Guests who have a confirmed dining reservation at that resort hotel. So while you won't be able to drive to your family's resort (unless you will be dining there), you're welcome to use
Walt Disney World Resort transportation or a ride-share service to arrive at your destination. Also, when visiting other resort hotels, please keep in mind that the pools are reserved for Guests staying at that resort.
If you need more specific information about the particular resort hotel you will be visiting, such as restaurant recommendations or details on the best transportation options to get there, please feel free to visit planDisney again. We would be happy to help answer any additional vacation planning questions that you might have.
See ya real soon!
Samantha
