Hi! We're planning on staying at WDW at PO-FQ in January. Thing is, we're not 100% sure of the dates yet, but have to book by October to get the free dining. Can I book a tentative date for now, and change it once plans get finalized?

    Hi Marek!

The answer to your question is yes AND no!  You may certainly book now and secure FREE dining; however, if you change your travel plans to dates that do not qualify for the FREE dining, then you would lose it.  Clear as mud???  Let's say that you book your vacation for January 8, 2012 through January 12, 2012... you would get free dining.  However, if you change your dates to say, January 13, 2010 through January 17, 2012, those dates WOULD NOT qualify for free dining.  Sooo, I would make sure that you verify that your dates qualify before you change anything.  You also run the risk that your desired hotel will not have any availability during your new dates.  Whew!

Also, if you make any changes to your vacation package within 45 days of travel and your price drops, you will be charged a fee of around $50.00.  If you cancel within 45 days, you will lose your deposit.  Now for the good news!  If you book now and you change your dates to those that still qualify for free dining, then you will be one lucky family!  To be honest, if it were me, I would go for it!
