Hi Jessica!
Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home! It sounds like you have an exciting stay planned during your upcoming vacation. Like you, my family also enjoys booking a split-stay when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. We began our most recent trip with a few nights at
Disney's Beach Club Villas before moving over to the
Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa –– it felt like getting two vacations in one!
I have some great news! Luggage transfer service isn't limited to
Disney Vacation Club Resorts –– Guests moving between Disney Resorts Collection hotels are also welcome to have the friendly folks at Bell Services transfer their luggage for a split-stay vacation. On the morning you'll be switching Resorts, you'll just need to bring your luggage down to Bell Services at
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and let a Cast Member know that you will be transferring to
Disney's Old Key West Resort. Then you're free to head out to all the adventures you have planned for the day. Once you arrive at Disney's Old Key West Resort and have been notified that your room is ready, your luggage can be delivered directly to your new home-away-from-home.
If you've utilized the luggage transfer service in the past, I want to make you aware of a policy change that went into effect in 2021. Currently, Bell Services will no longer transfer perishable items between Resorts. That means you'll need to dispose of any grocery items or tasty dining leftovers before moving to your new spot. However, Bell Services is still happy to accept
grocery deliveries, including refrigerated items, so you're welcome to schedule a delivery to Disney's Old Key West Resort using your preferred grocery service once you arrive.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Jessica. If you have more questions as you plan your upcoming stay, please stop back by –– we're always here to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
