We are planning on staying at Pop Century at the beginning of September and have heard mixed reviews of bus lines and skyliner lines in the morning to get to the parks and also lines to return back in the evening. Is this hotel still very crowded?

    Welcome back, Jared!

I actually just returned from a groovy trip to Walt Disney World Resort, and I stayed at the iconic Disney’s Pop Century Resort! I had a great time taking a blast to the past in one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort Hotels!

I can tell you, first hand, that the transportation was relatively smooth to all of the 4 theme parks and Disney Springs! While the lines can look extremely long (due to physical distancing) there was a constant flow of buses to Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park! The longest I waited in line for a bus in July at Disney’s Pop Century Resort was about 15 minutes. There was also a constant flow of return-service buses to Disney’s Pop Century Resort at the participating theme parks and Disney Springs.

As for the Disney Skyliner, if you are attempting to get on the Disney Skyliner to make it to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios right at opening, you may have to be prepared to get up a little earlier to wait in line for the Disney Skyliner to begin operation. I waited to board the Disney Skyliner until about 45 minutes after the corresponding park had opened and basically walked on with no wait. If you are wanting to catch the opening of the parks, prepare to wait in line for an hour or so, or request an Uber to pick you up at the front of the hotel to get you to your destination early.

You’ll really enjoy the limited crowds at Disney’s Pop Century Resort! I loved the extra space in the pool and the quite evenings strolling along the paths!

I hope your trip is fabulous, Jared! If you have any additional questions we’d love to hear from you again at planDisney
