    I am planning on staying at one of the Disney resorts for the marathon weekend Jan. 2019. I know that the buses will take you to and from the race but what about the sports expo before the race? Also how soon should I book my room before the race?

    Hello Jen!

    Thanks for writing.  How exciting that you will be participating in Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.  I've crossed the finish line in four Walt Disney World Marathons and am training for my fifth now.  It is truly a magical suite of races that you will surely remember forever.  Transportation to and from the race venue and ESPN Wide World of Sports is provided at the host resorts.  I strongly recommend considering one of these venues if at all possible and using Disney Transportation, as parking is generally limited and traffic tends to be reasonably intense.  I also recommend booking your Marathon Weekend stay as quickly as possible as the host resorts tend to book quickly by runners anxious to secure their desired venues.  

    Jen, I'm so excited for you to experience crossing a finish line at Walt Disney World.  My medals and race photos are among my proudest accomplishments.  Have many magical miles!
