Planning on staying at GF with husband&3kids (7,5,5)... which building is best? ?club level worth the extra money? Looks like club level in main building is the most $... is it really worth the extra cost?

Hi, Ellen! You've picked a wonderful resort at Walt Disney World. It just doesn't get any better than The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! The times I have stayed there, I liked staying on the ground level of Sago Cay on the end closest to the main building.  For the ages of our children then, it was nice to be near the quick service dining, game room and the Disney bus transportation. Plus, the Main Building with fine dining, shops and monorail service was nearby, too. I've also enjoyed staying in the Sugar Loaf Key Building (closest to the Main Building) for the convenience factor.

Our family has stayed in the Main Building, but to be honest, I don't think it is worth the extra cost like staying in the tower of The Contemporary versus the outlying buildings.  In addition, I would advise against concierge level with young children since most of the amenities are geared toward adults -- continental breakfast, wine and cheese, desserts and cordials, plush robes and personal service.  Somehow, the "extra's" get lost on those who tend to turn their noses up at coffee and fancy desserts in pretty papers! Plus, the rooms really aren't any bigger or have more bells and whistles.

Instead, I would save the cost of the concierge level and put that toward the kids staying at The Mousketeer Club Kids' Activity Center and a spa treatment or two for you and your hubby.  The kids will have the time of their lives, and you'll be pampered and rested. We always figure in a little away time from the kids so that we can feel relaxed when we're with them.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
