Going 10/3-9 2ad/5kd(15,7,6,4,2) was planning on staying at fwc wondering if we should change to familysuite. Only doing breakfast in room and worried bout 1bath. Which is more comfortable? Which has better pools? Only breakfast/sleep/nap in room.

    Angela:

Because there are seven of you and a crib for the 2-year-old, I'm tempted to recommend the cabins simply for how the space is arranged over the suite.

Although the two have similar square footage (on paper the suite actually has more room), the larger living/dining area of the cabin would give you ample space for your toddler (in fact, you could sleep her on the sofa if you just packed a railing or use the pack 'n' play located in the closet) and provide a better gathering area for the family.  Additionally, the pool at the fort is newly refurbished with a slide and a water play area for the kids.  This, along with the cabin's deck and all of the other activities at the fort (Chip 'n' Dale's campfire sing-a-long, water pageant, and just beautiful October weather at the campground) gives it a leg up in my book.

HOWEVER, you mention the two bathrooms of the suites.  With five children, one of whom is a teenager, all the outside activities in the world might not make up for the fact that you can't get everyone's teeth brushed.  At that point, comfort describes something totally different.

If you don't see yourself taking full advantage of what Fort Wilderness has to offer, then I wouldn't pay for the upgrade.  The suite is better than two standard connecting rooms with its kitchenette, and the All-Star Music resort will provide a good backdrop to a memorable family vacation!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
