We are planning on staying at the Fort Wilderness cabins in Nov 2016. Which would be the best loop to stay in to be the closest to the marina? Could you walk from that loop to the marina or would you have to take the bus?

    Margaret:

Both the 2100 and 2200 Cabin loops at Fort Wilderness are a good 15-minute walk to the marina and would be the closest if you chose to walk. Although the terrain is flat, your decision to choose walking over taking a bus depends on how mobile the members of your traveling party are and the weather. There is a bus stop near both loops but be aware you may have a 10-or-so-minute wait, and you'll be dropped off about 100 yards from the marina, so you'll still be traveling by foot for the last leg of your journey.

I recommend hoping on one of the fort buses shortly after you arrive to take a quick birds-eye view of Fort Wilderness and how large it is. Then, you 'll be able to know what will suit your family best.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
