Are you lacing up your sneakers and running with us, Tiffany? runDisney Weekends are so fun at the Most Magical Place to Race! Guests of the
Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort have the bonus on race weekends to simply flip over to the Boardwalk to cheer on the runners as they do their human tricks.
runDisney races start - and many even end - super early in the morning. Transportation is in two waves, usually starting around 2:30 am - 3:00 am for runners and 6:00 am - 6:30 am for the amazing spectators to get to the races. Buses will continue to run until the end, bringing everyone back to their resorts. April 21 is the Springtime Surprise 10-miler. Looking at the transportation information for Princess Weekend Half Marathon, which is just around the riverbend, the bus transportation between the event and
Disney Resorts Collection locations ends at 10:30 am. You may expect heavier traffic and maybe even a few detours during the runDisney transportation hours. Driving back to my resort during Marathon Weekend, our GPS routed us based on road closures. I was amazed.
I cannot wait to see the routes. Usually, they release these about two weeks before the race weekend in the Digital Expo & Event Guide. If you are registered, you should receive an e-mail announcing its availability. You can also check
runDisney Expo site for information on the weekend. Currently, this site is hosting 2024 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend information, but it will be updated early April for Springtime Surprise. You can also check the official runDisney Facebook page for announcements.
I hope your weekend plans include the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Taking time to smell the roses and feel the zen in the Butterfly Garden... it's heavenly and different pace from the race.
Walking, running, the parks or the races, here's hoping every mile of your adventure is magic!
