Planning on staying 7days6nights. But if we arrive mid-afternoon, will we be "wasting" a day ticket, so only buy 6 day in parks, or should we drive in night before? What is the latest check in time for all star movies? I know check-in time is 3p

You can check in as late as you need to, because your reservation is confirmed.  If you find that you  arriving possibly after midnight, you can call the resort, just to communicate your status and that you are intending on keeping the reservation.  If you are asking the earliest you can check in, you can check in as early are 6 a.m. on the day of arrival.  The hotel will secure your luggage and deliver it to your room as soon as it is ready.  The front desk will give you a 'business' card with a phone number to call to check on the status of your room.  We often drive down the night before, and stay at a hotel and leave early for Walt Disney, so that we can go to Extra Magic Hours at the designated park.  Heather M.
