Hello! We are planning on staying in the cabins at Fort Wilderness (hoping loop 2500). Do all cabin loops have a comfort stations? If not which loops in the campground have them?

    Hi Emily,

Thanks for stopping by with another planning question about your upcoming trip to Disney World. My family stayed in the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort this past summer and had such a great time. It felt like we were glamping, yet we were only minutes away from the theme parks and beyond!

I chatted with a Cast Member about the layout of the Cabins and comfort stations. In the Cabin area of the campgrounds, you'll find several different loops (from 2200 to 2800). Loop 2500 has a fantastic location - centrally situated within the Cabin area and right next to the comfort station dedicated to the Cabins. This comfort station, which includes laundry facilities and restrooms, sits beside the Wilderness Swimmin' Pool and whirlpool spa. My daughters loved splashing around in this pool since it was much quieter and less busy than the Meadow Pool. There are plenty of washers and dryers available as well - just make sure you have your MagicBand or Key to the World Card handy to unlock the door.

If having access to the laundry and pool is important to you, I recommend placing a request for a cabin loop near the comfort station. The walk from our Cabin in loop 2800 wasn't too far, but staying at a Cabin in a closer loop would have simplified things (especially when doing laundry). While requests aren't guaranteed, Cast Members do their best to sprinkle pixie dust when they can!

During your stay at the Cabins, I highly recommend taking time to explore the campgrounds and the many activities and experiences available. At check-in, pick up a copy of the Resort Activity Guide; it lists all of the activities for the duration of your stay. My family enjoyed spending time by the Meadow Pool, where you can spot Chip and Dale wandering around (they like to meet new friends before the Campfire Sing-a-long!.) If you'd like to stick around for the campfire and roast marshmallows, you can bring your own or purchase a s'mores kit from the Chuckwagon Snack Bar. My kids loved this so much, I wouldn't be surprised if marshmallows appear at the top of their packing list for our next trip to the Cabins!

I hope you have a fantastic stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, Emily. If any other questions come to mind, please don't hesitate to reach out - I'm happy to assist!

    Adventure is out there,
    Candace
