We were planning on staying at the Beach Club Resort, but due to some unforeseen medical expenses I downgraded to Pop Century. I'm trying not to feel disappointed already, because we planned a lot of hotel days. Silver lining to a value resort stay?

Hey there, Marcee! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! There’s nothing like planning a vacation to Walt Disney World!

Oh my gosh, don’t feel disappointed! I recently had the opportunity to visit Disney’s Pop Century Resort and it’s a fantastic place to stay. In all honesty, I really enjoy all of the Resorts at Walt Disney World. In fact, some of my favorites are both Value and Moderate Resort hotels.

I find the Resort rooms at Disney’s Pop Century to be some of the coolest. They are very modern with a simplistic style. They remind me of the rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort with great views of either the pool or the courtyard area.  During our last stay, we booked a Standard Pool View room and really had the best of both worlds. Oh, and speaking of pools, the Hippy Dippy Pool features flower-shaped water jets, which are a lifesaver in the Florida sun! Plus, you’ll have two other pools to choose from including the Bowling Pool and the Computer Pool.

Finally, you’ll have very easy access to the Disney Skyliner, which is seriously the coolest way to travel between your resort and the parks. I actually found myself grabbing a gondola at least once per day whether I was going to a park or not, just to take in the sights.

I am so excited for you as I’m sure you’ll have a blast at this Resort. Oh... I almost forgot! Be sure to swing by Petals Pool Bar as it’s a great place to grab an iced cold drink while walking around the resort or relaxing by the pool.
