We are planning to stay at Ft. Wilderness for several days prior to our cruise. Does Disney provide transportation from Ft. Wilderness on the day of our departure?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elaine! The only thing better than a Disney Cruise Line vacation is combining it with a stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. A Land and Sea vacation combines the best of both "Worlds!"

There are several options to get you to Port Canaveral to begin your Disney Cruise. The easiest one would be to purchase transfers for an additional fee, between Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the port (you can also buy transfers to get your to the Orlando International Airport on the days of disembarkation). The buses are luxury motor coaches, just like the ones used by Disney's Magical Express Service. By having everything arranged through Disney Cruise Line, there are no worries about being late for your cruise. The night before your sailing, you'll receive a note under your door. The instructions will advise you on what to do with your luggage and when to meet the bus. Call (800) 951-3532 for more information or to add these transfers.

If getting to the port early is a priority, then consider Disney's Minnie Van Service. Each vehicle can accommodate up to six guests plus luggage (and two car seats).  You can set this up by calling Disney Cruise Line Embarkation Services at (800) 395-9374. If you happen to be sailing with a cruise line other than Disney, your best bet is to call a limousine/town car service or to utilize a ride share service, such as Uber or Lyft.

I hope this helps, Elaine! Captain Mickey and I hope to SEA ya' real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
