Hi! Planning to stay at Wilderness Lodge Nov.15-21, 2025. Do you think the Christmas Tree will be up when we are there??

    Hiya Kelsie,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your Wilderness Lodge question! Oh boy—how exciting that your trip is just around the corner! In just a few short weeks, you’ll be trading in your Louisiana bayou for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom and strolling down Main Street, as it sparkles in all its Christmas glory. There’s truly nothing quite like the holidays at Walt Disney World—it’s the most magical time of the year!

Now, speaking of Christmas magic, let’s jump right into your question! While Disney doesn’t share exact dates for when holiday décor goes up, in my experience, Wilderness Lodge typically starts decking its halls anywhere from mid-November to the week of Thanksgiving. Last year, the resort’s stunning, towering Christmas tree was in place by November 20, but that can vary from year to year. Fingers crossed that you’ll be there right when the elves (or maybe even a few woodland critters!) finish trimming the tree.

If you do get to see Wilderness Lodge all dressed up for the holidays, you’re in for a treat. Between the twinkling lights, roaring fireplace, and cozy log cabin charm, it’s like stepping into a Christmas card brought to life—it’s my personal favorite resort to visit during the holiday season!

And even if the tree isn’t up quite yet, there’s still plenty of holiday cheer to be found across Disney World. Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios will be decked out in their Christmas best, and Disney Springs will be hosting the beloved Christmas Tree Stroll beginning November 13, 2025—it’s a merry must-do for any festive fan! Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements about holiday happenings and décor updates.

Kelsie, I hope this helps you plan your upcoming stay! Please feel free to visit us if you have any additional questions.

    See ya real soon,

    Christina
