Planning to stay in a two-bed villa at the GF this summer. Will the room renovations be complete? Any other advice would be appreciated. Thx

Hey there, Keith! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so happy to see you here with another great vacation planning question!

In just weeks, you'll be arriving at the fabulous Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, ready to begin your next magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting! With the gorgeous, newly enhanced Villas, amazing recreation activities, fantastic nearby dining options and location within walking distance to Magic Kingdom Park, this Resort is the perfect place to spend your practically perfect, pixie-dusted vacation. I am SO happy for you, Keith, and I'm thrilled to answer your question today!

The enchanting enhancements of The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa were set to be completed this summer, and the final part of this project, the new Resort Studios, will be completed in late June 2022. So, the Villa enhancements should be completed by the time you arrive in July. However, I recommend calling to add the request for a renovated Two-Bedroom Villa to your reservation, just in case. If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, call Member Services to make this request, and if you are not a Member, just call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936 to add this request to your reservation. Just keep in mind that this request is not a guarantee, but Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" I have a good feeling that you will be enjoying your beautifully enhanced Two-Bedroom Villa before you know it! They are seriously STUNNING, and I am so excited for you!

While you're enjoying your magic stay, be sure to take advantage of your Resort's location! The walking path to and from Magic Kingdom Park is peaceful, beautiful and magical. I LOVE not having to wait for transportation at the end of a long park day. Also, did you know that you are a short walk away from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort?! I love being able to take advantage of the fantastic dining options at the Polynesian, too! Capt. Cook's is one of my favorite Quick Service dining locations! Speaking of amazing locations, please don't leave the Grand Floridian without enjoying a beverage and a small meal at Enchanted Rose! This is my new favorite lounge on property, and I must recommend the Lavender Fog, which is my new favorite cocktail in all of Walt Disney World Resort. YUM!

One more tip! I MUST recommend renting a poolside cabana and/or renting a motorized boat from the marina to cruise around Seven Seas Lagoon. Both of these activities are relaxing, oh-so-fun, and unforgettable! Magical memories are sure to be made. And while Disney Vacation Club benefits and discounts are subject to change, right now, DVC Members can get a discount on both! Magic unlocked!

I hope this was helpful, Keith, and I hope you have THE most magical upcoming vacation! Enjoy every pixie-dusted minute of it! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!

I hope to see ya real soon,

    Mandy
