Hiya Janette - welcome to
planDisney!
I'm so glad you stopped by with your first question for our team of panelists. We love helping Guests just like you plan magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
You're already speaking my language by deciding to stay at
Disney's Riviera Resort! This is my
Disney Vacation Club Home Resort and my absolute favorite place to call home when visiting Walt Disney World. I had the pleasure of staying at the Riviera the first month it opened, and many times since - it never disappoints! The decor and amenities are fantastic, not to mention easy access to
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
EPCOT via the
Disney Skyliner station at the Resort!
The single pull-down bed, available in many of the Riviera's Villas, is a standard twin measuring approximately 38 in. by 75 in. Do keep in mind that this bed pulls down on the long side, meaning that one long edge of the bed is against the wall. At 6' 2" and too many pounds, I'm too big for most twins, but especially dislike being pushed up against the wall. Smaller folks will have no trouble at all enjoying this bed, and there's even an integrated reading light!
Another fun fact is that the larger living room pull-down beds in the 1-Bedroom and 2-Bedroom Villas are regular queen mattresses, not traditional sofa beds. They are super comfy, and I love that they magically disappear into the wall leaving a great sofa to enjoy during the day - thanks Imagineers!
I hope this information is helpful -
please let me know if you have any additional questions about the Riviera or anything else at the Walt Disney World Resort!
