We are planning to stay at POR for a day this summer before finishing our vacation at a relatives home. Will we receive magic bands for a short stay? Able to get fast pass reservations 60 days ahead of time even if some days at park r after check out?

    Hi, April!

Starting your vacation off with a stay at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside sounds pretty good to me! I know you will not have a lot of time, but this really is a beautiful resort so try to do some exploring if you can.

Even with a one night stay, your family will receive MagicBands. They should arrive at your home about 3 weeks prior to your vacation. The bands serve as your room key, so you will definitely want to bring those with you. Any theme park tickets or FastPass+ selection you attach to your My Disney Experience account will also be active on your MagicBand.

You will be able to book your FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance for your arrival and departure days. After that, FastPass+ selections for the following days can be booked 30 days in advance. After check-out, you can continue to use your MagicBands for your theme park tickets and FastPass+, but obviously not for your room. (But boy, how I wished I had a MagicBand to unlock my front door at home!)

Wishing you a magical stay in Walt Disney World!
