Pop! Boom! Bang! Watching fireworks from the room is one of the most awe-inspiring moments I've had on vacation at Walt Disney World, and I hope that your preferred room at
Disney's Pop Century Resort will offer you the same opportunity, Caroline! Welcome to planDisney , where "razzle-dazzle" is our middle name. I'd be happy to help you scope out the resort rooms that may have lower noise levels and also offer a view of the
EPCOT fireworks.
First, requesting a higher floor may help with sound levels, especially if you get the top floor. No guests above you means no noise from late night or early morning walks around the room. While I have yet to stay at Pop Century, I have stayed at similar resorts and did not have an issue with noise from upstairs neighbors. Usually the sound was limited to groups of guests having conversations as they passed by my window and door, so it was just a temporary bit of chatter that I didn't mind or find disruptive.
Now, if you're seeking to catch a glimpse of some pyrotechnics from the comfort of your room, let's see which areas you may want to request. Preferred rooms at Pop Century are the closest to Classic Hall and the main lobby, and can be found in the 50's, 60's, and 70's sections. The view from the 70's rooms might be blocked by the 60's building, and the preferred rooms in the 50's section face the wrong direction. I recommend trying to get a room on the top floor of building 4 of the 60's section (rooms 4449-4460). You'll want to snag a north facing lake view room, as these are perfectly oriented toward EPCOT and the World Showcase Lagoon.
Cast Members will do their best to honor your room request, but there is a chance that it will not be fulfilled. If this ends up being the case for you, no worries! The preferred rooms at Pop Century are just a short walk from the Generation Gap Bridge and the
Disney Skyliner station. You may be able to catch a glimpse of the high-flying fireworks from the bridge, or you can ride in style in a Skyliner gondola toward EPCOT. Imagine the sights as you descend behind the France Pavilion with a bird's eye view of
