Hi there! I am planning a stay at the Grand Californian and wanted to know if there are any options for toddler sleeping arrangements? Our daughter is 2 and not quite ready to sleep in a bed yet.

Hiya, Ashley, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! As a mom of three little Mouseketeers, I can relate to your question!

We recently enjoyed a stay at the Disneyland Resort, and had this exact same question for our youngest child. I’m happy to report that Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offers a limited number of full cribs, in addition to pack-n-play type cribs that can be requested when making your reservation. My son tends to sleep better in a full-size crib, so we requested one of those, and he slept great! Sheets were provided, but I brought a special blanket for him to snuggle up to for comfort.

Another option at the Grand Californian is a room with a sleeper chair or day bed (available in select rooms). My youngest (now age three) has also slept in a day bed, and been perfectly comfortable. It’s just the right size for a little one to cuddle up in! So, depending on your daughter’s size and comfort, I’d recommend requesting whichever option is best for her. To discuss your specific needs with a Cast Member, simply call (714) 635-2300.

I also recommend calling the day before check-in to confirm your request again. It doesn’t hurt to be extra prepared, especially when it comes to something as important as toddler sleep!

And speaking of toddlers, you’ll want to get familiar with the Baby Care Centers located inside both theme parks – they’re a great spot for feeding, changing, or even potty training your little Mouseketeer with the tiny toilets! Also, stroller rentals are offered just outside the Main Entrance of Disneyland Park, adjacent to the Kennel, should you need one. Single and tandem double strollers are both offered.

By the way, you have made an excellent hotel selection! The Grand Californian is simply beautiful... I could sit in the lobby and admire the elegant Craftsman-style detail for hours! Plus, the easy access into Disney California Adventure Park is another huge perk -- making for easy nap or pool breaks throughout your Disney day!

Please stop by with any additional questions you may have… I’m all EARs!

    See ya’ real soon!
