We are planning to stay at Fort Wilderness and are interested in trying to resort hop to as many resorts we can. Is there a way to try to see what the resorts have to offer within 2 days time?

    Hello Vanessa!

Walt Disney World has so many incredible resorts, it’s easy to see why you'd want to visit as many as possible! With over 30 unique properties (depending on how you count), there’s a lot to explore. And yes, you can see quite a few in just two days with a little planning!

Some resorts are located close together, making it easy to hop between them. For example, Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins are part of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge area. From there, you can take a scenic boat ride over to Fort Wilderness. Hop back on the boat, and you’ll arrive at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower. From the Contemporary, jump on the monorail—Disney’s famous “highway in the sky.” It stops at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (which includes the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows) and continues to the elegant Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, as well as the Grand Floridian Villas.

Another cluster of resorts is connected by the Disney Skyliner. Along its routes, you can visit Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Disney’s Riviera Resort. You can also walk to Disney’s BoardWalk Resort & Villas and the Beach and Yacht Clubs from the nearby Skyliner station. From that same area, it’s an easy walk over to the Swan and Dolphin resorts as well.

For some other resort gems, like the must-see Animal Kingdom Lodge, you’ll want to use a personal vehicle, a ride-share, or catch a Disney bus from any park or Disney Springs. Speaking of Disney Springs, don’t miss the relaxing boat ride over to Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter. Be sure to grab some fresh beignets while you’re there!

With a little planning and a sense of adventure, your resort-hopping experience can be just as magical as the parks themselves!

    See ya real soon!

I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
