Bonjour Anise,
Welcome to
planDisney! I'm always happy to answer a question from a fellow Canuck, thanks for stopping by. I love hopping over to the
Disney Store website and looking at the newest merchandise (there are a few Halloween items I am eyeing).
I'm happy to share that you can order from the Disney Store online and have your order shipped directly to your Disney Resort hotel. I did the same thing on a recent trip to Walt Disney World, and the process was easy peasy!
Resorts will typically hold your package for about a week before your arrival. Once you’ve checked in, you can pick it up at
Mail Services, where it will be waiting safely for you. Just a heads-up - there’s a small handling fee per package (currently $6, but subject to change), and it will be added right to your resort folio.
When you place an order, make sure you complete the delivery address with your name + "Guest arriving..." - insert your arrival date, then add the name and address of your Disney resort.
If you're looking for a bit of extra savings on your purchases, I recommend buying Canadian Disney Gift cards and using them when processing your order. These can be purchased at major grocery and pharmacy retailers in Canada. The Gift Cards will be purchased in Canadian funds and are converted to U.S. Dollars at the time of use using the exchange rate from the previous day's close. By using a Canadian Disney Gift Card, you can avoid currency exchange fees applied by a credit card.
I hope this information is helpful, Anise. Wishing you happy shopping ahead of your Disney World vacation! If you have any other questions, please revisit us at planDisney - we're here to help.
