Hi there, and welcome to
planDisney! I'm so glad you're here today with this great question about your upcoming vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! Your
visit will be here in just a few short months, and you must be getting so excited!
You're going to love staying at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. It's the best combination of the outdoors, with the magic of the Disney Theme Parks just around the corner. You'll be happy to know that transportation is complimentary at Walt Disney World Resort - that includes buses, boats, the Disney Skyliner, and Disney Monorail. When you're staying at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, you can take one of the internal resort buses to the Settlement Depot, and you can catch a bus from there Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. From the marina, you can hop on a boat that will take you to Magic Kingdom Park. The boat ride is scenic and relaxing, so take in all of the beautiful sights on your way to the park!
One of the most helpful things to do is download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App when you arrive, and get familiar with the map feature. There's a whole section dedicated to Transportation, and you can get helpful directions to your next destination within Walt Disney World Resort.
During your time at your Resort, be sure to head to the marina at night to watch the Electrical Water Pageant pass by. The music and lights are stunning, and it's fun for all ages! You can ask a friendly Cast Member when you can expect it to float by, so that you don't miss it.
I hope this is helpful to you as you plan your vacation! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you count down to your arrival!
See you real soon!
Jennifer
