I am planning to stay at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness, how far of a walk is it to get from the cabins to the boat dock to go to Magic Kingdom?

As they sometimes say in the wilderness - Howdy Brenda!
It has to be said that the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort truly is my families most favourite spot to stay together on Disney property. We love that 6 of us can be accommodated with all the comforts of home in such a beautiful rustic setting and yet only be a short ferry boat ride away from all the enchantment of the Magic Kingdom Park
Although there are many Guest walkways and paths dotted all around, it is worth remembering 'The Fort' is a huge Resort covering some 750 acres of wilderness adored with majestic Pine and Cypress trees which is why my family prefers to utilise the internal Walt Disney World Bus Service!
Each Cabin Loop benefits from its own dedicated bus stop where Guests can hop on a bus headed directly to the Settlement Depot from where it's just a short, gentle walk to the Marina where ferry boats headed to the Magic Kingdom Park launch.
Everything is well signposted and I'm sure a Cast Member will be happy to provide you with a Resort map upon check-in.
Some fun trivia - whilst on the water be sure to look out for a tree on the port side of the ferry boat adorned with discarded tennis shoes; legend has it that ferry boat Captains toss their shoes up on that tree soon after they've retired.
If I can help sprinkle any extra pixie dust onto your plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort please pop back to ask me another question.
