I am planning a stay for April 2025 ( 4 days 3 nights ) and I see an option for the dining plan. On the 4th day I will be leaving early before anything opens , can I use my 4th day credits on the 3rd day? I don’t want to get it and have money wasted.

    Hi Kia,

    Welcome to planDisney!

Dining plans are one of our ways to budget for our visits to the Walt Disney World® Resort. Although we always do the math to determine if we save with a Disney Dining Plan, I love the dining plans because they give us a good sense of how much we are spending on food. I also love the dining plans because of the flexibility they offer. Remember that the number of meals you receive will be calculated based on nights of stay.

All of your meals will be available in your MyDisney account once you check-in. You may use them in any order. So, you may redeem all of your meals and snacks before the last day. Prior to our trips, we calculate how many total meals each person will have based on nights of stay. So, if you are planning to stay for five nights, on the Disney Dining Plan, you would get five table-service meals and five quick-service meals.

As you prepare for your trip, I also strongly encourage you to identify the dining locations you plan to visit. Then, you can go to the restaurant's home page prior to the visit and click on View Menu to see how many meals you will use from a dining plan at each location. For example, check out the menus from Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Coral Reef Restaurant. And check the dining plan information. Click on View Dining Plans and Discounts.

While you continue to plan, I hope you will reconsider that last day departure time. We typically fly to Orlando, so we try to get a mid afternoon flight on the way home. Doing so allows us to have breakfast one last time at the resort hotel. Since departure day is such a sad day, we love having that breakfast to take time to soak in some final magic.

Kia, I hope you book a vacation package with theme park tickets and one of the Disney Dining plans. Enjoy your meals and snacks. Do not forget to use your resort refillable mug! I like to use it for soda in the evening when we get back to the resort hotel. Sending you a little extra pixie dust trusting that you will make good use of that dining plan!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
