We are planning to stay at AoA in October, and would like to stay in the Little Mermaid rooms. I am a little concerned about the distance from the Little Mermaid area to the main building as my parents will be with us. Do you know how far that walk is?

    Hello Rachelle,

Oh, I'm so excited for your family. You are going to love the Little Mermaid rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. My favorite part of the room is the bathroom. That may sound funny, but you'll soon find out why!

These buildings are a bit further from the main building, but I think it is completely walkable in about 5-7 minutes. If your parents have mobility concerns, it could take a few extra minutes. Keep in mind there are lots of things to see along the way, so it isn't a boring walk. There are also benches along some of the walkways if you need to stop for a breather. I would also recommend requesting buildings 7 or 9 as those are the ones closest to the main building and main pool. Building 8 is the furthest away. Keep in mind that requests cannot be guaranteed and are based on availability upon check-in.

    Have a magical time.
