We are planning to start our morning at Animal Kingdom and then park hop to Hollywood Studios until it closes. Animal Kingdom closes at 7pm though so if we leave our car there will we have a bus to get back to it? is there a better place we should park?

Hello there, welcome to planDisney. Thanks for visiting us with your question Jessica.

Fall is my favorite season to visit the parks. Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is no exception to this rule. And another great rule of thumb is arriving early. The star of the show for me is Kilimanjaro Safari, and the residents are usually very active in the mornings as close to sunrise as you can get. And they are also very active near sunset as well, as they wind down for the day.

Driving your own car is how to get to the park as early and quickly as possible. Since you will be parking your vehicle there, you will need to drive it to the next park. As you mentioned Animal Kingdom does close at 7 p.m. and will not have buses running to it after the park closes. If you have your own transportation I always suggest using it. The bus trip with Disney Transportation will be relaxing and scenic but takes nearly an hour to go from door to door. And that is not including the wait for the next bus which arrives every 20 minutes. If you use your vehicle you will not have to pay for parking again just be sure to keep your receipt, and the travel time is reduced drastically. I used one of my navigations on my phone and the travel time is 9 driving minutes. Entering through the gates and parking your car will take some time as well but you would save nearly 30 minutes when you leave Animal Kingdom and another hour back via bus had that option been available.

When you use the Park Hopper Option your day can be as customized as you want. You will not need reservations and hopping begins at 2 p.m. Disney's Hollywood Studios is home to my second favorite planet. When travelers visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge they are transported to Batuu. This place gets a little sketchy, don't say I didn't warn you. Kylo Ren and the First Order are always walking around causing trouble. Stay out of their way unless you want to get questioned. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run which is usually available for Single Rider Queue is where I head first. But if I want a chance to be the pilot responsible for securing coaxuim for the Resistance you can wait in the regular stand-by or purchase Disney's Genie+ Service that gives you an opportunity to secure a Lightning Lane to skip the lines.

I hope this information is helpful for your trip that is quickly approaching. Get those bags packed and have the most magical time. If you need any other tips or advice revisit us anytime at
