Hello. We are in the planning stages of our trip. There will be 4 adults and 5 kids (16 - 7). One family will be traveling to Disney for the first time. Any suggestion on places to stay for our group? Individual rooms vs. a suite for all?

    Hello, Karen,

Thank you for the question, and I hope we can help with your planning your first trip to Walt Disney World. For a party of 9 guests, you do have several options for a Disney resort. My initial thought if you'd like everyone to be together, you might want to look into a Deluxe Villa Resort.  Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa,  Disney's Old Key West Resort, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,  and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge- Kidani Village have villas that can accommodate up to 9 guests. The villas will have 2 bedrooms, at least 2 bathrooms (some have 3), full kitchen, living room, and even a washer and dryer.

The family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All-Star Music Resort are nice choices, too, as they would have a living area where everyone could be together. They do only accommodate up to 6 guests, so you would need two rooms.

All the Deluxe Resort Hotels and Moderate Resort Hotels that can have up to 5 guests in a room would also work for your party.  You'd want to request adjoining rooms to have rooms that opened up to each other, or you could request connecting rooms to have them side by side.

You may also want to take a look at the Planning for Large Parties information as you continue to plan your trip. As you have more questions, please let us know.  We are happy to help!  -Kara
