I am planning a Spring '09 WDW trip for 2 families of 4 and grandma. Fam. 1: kids aged 8 and 6, fam. 2: kids aged 12 and 12, all kids boys. Please suggest best on property moderate resort for this type of group. Thanks much!

Since I have all boys, I can certainly relate to trying to find something a little less "pink"!  The Caribbean Beach Resort has recently been renovated with rooms that have a pirate theme; my sons really are itching to experience these new rooms with the chance to sleep in pirate ship beds.  In addition, the main pool area has also undergone a large renovation that looks fabulous.  Disney Mom Kim recently stayed there, and her 8 year old son gave the pool rave reviews!  In addition, the resort has boat/tube rentals, bike rentals, 3 playgrounds, an arcade, and over 6 pools.   I imagine it would be a good choice for your wonderful group of princes.

By the way, have you seen the fabulous offer from WDW to help families celebrate in 2009?  Basically, if you stay 4 nights, you get the next 3 nights free!  It does have some date restrictions, but perhaps it will work for you family.
