We are planning a spring visit to WDW with our 11-year-old, who, altho' she can walk, will need a wheelchair to navigate thru WDW. Do you have any tips to make the trip memorable for her and not exhaust the rest of the family?

    Hi Velma!

    This is a great question!

You can rent a wheelchair at all of the theme parks in Walt Disney World.  However, you may want a wheelchair available at all times.  Thus you might want consider renting a wheelchair from an independent third company that will deliver a wheelchair to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel.  That might make the entire trip easier.

Also, you should pick up a Guest Assistance Card when you enter your first theme park.  Just head straight to Guest Services and explain that your daughter is using a wheelchair and will have problems standing in long lines.  The Guest Assistance Card will be made good for your entire trip.  This will allow you to use a different entrance to most of the attractions, wait in an alternate waiting locations, etc.

I hope this helps!  Please write back if you have any more questions!
