Split stays are the best stays! It's like getting two different experiences in one vacation. Each of these resorts is vastly different, so it will be a great change of pace when you switch over to the second one. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a favorite of my family. From the second you enter the grand lobby upon arrival, you are met with a breathtaking space that transports you to another part of the world.
My family loves a good scavenger hunt and Walt Disney World offers a variety of them across many of the resorts and the parks. Many of these hunts are available to all Guests at any time of the day, while others start at a specific day and time during the week.
Disney's Pop Century Resort offers a fun one at no cost to you that takes you around the resort searching for statues and décor. You'll need to swing by the front desk to pick up a map for the scavenger hunt. Once you have completed it, stop back to turn it in and check to see if they are offering any prizes for finishing it.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a scavenger hunt that takes a bit more time to complete. In addition to finding certain things, you are also tasked with answering some interesting questions and participating in some activities. This hunt is also free of charge and is confined to the Jambo House section of the resort. Again, once you complete the hunt, take the paper back to the front desk to receive a prize for your efforts.
Don't forget about the scavenger hunts offered inside of the parks. The
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival kicks off just in time for your visit and Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Hunt is being offered for this event. You will need to purchase a playing card for this hunt which can be purchased at a few locations around the park. There are also the
Kidcot Fun Stops that anyone can participate in around the World Showcase. Each country has a station set up somewhere in the pavilion that will have collecting activity cards to represent the cultures of each country.
