Welcome to planDisney, Matthew! It looks like you're just a few days away from arriving at the Most Magical on Earth; I'm sure you are excited to experience all of the
Halloween excitement (and
snacks!) while making some magical memories!
As a guest at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you will have access to a variety of Disney
transportation systems, including the Disney Monorail System, Disney Water Taxis, and Disney Bus Service to get you between the theme parks, Disney Springs, and your Disney Resort hotel. To travel from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you will want to take a Disney bus. I always recommend checking the
Bus Wait Times under the
Hotel Reservation tab in the
My Disney Experience mobile app before starting your day; it's a helpful way to ensure your timing aligns with the next bus arrival, and it also offers an estimated arrival to your destination to help you plan for your day.
When park-hopping from
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to any other park, you will also use a Disney bus. The park-to-park buses will be available at the same bus depot where you are dropped off; just check the helpful signs to find your bus stop number to your next destination! As a quick bonus tip, you can also utilize the
Get Directions button in the My Disney Experience mobile app to help you navigate between destinations during your stay!
Matthew, here are your best transportation methods and options from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for other destinations that you may also plan to visit during your vacation:
- To visit Magic Kingdom Park, you can hop on board the Disney Monorail, use a Disney Water Taxi, or even take the walking path from your Disney Resort hotel.
- To visit Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs, or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park take a Disney bus.
- To visit EPCOT, use the Disney Monorail. You will have to switch monorails at the Ticket and Transportation Center.
- If you're looking for a faster transportation option within the Walt Disney World Resort, check out the Minnie Van Service powered by Lyft. This paid rideshare service offers transportation to all destinations within the Disney Resort area.
Matthew, I hope this helps! I'd also recommend checking out the
planDisney podcast about transportation before your visit! My pals Lizzie and Nimmy do an excellent job of exploring and explaining all the best ways to travel while at Disney! If you have any other planning questions, come on back to

Magic Awaits,
