Hi, we are planning on spending New Years Eve in magic kingdom WDW for my friends 30th birthday. We have booked our 14 day date based ticket but will we need an additional ticket for New Years Eve? Thanks :)

Yas, Chris! I love your plan and welcome you to planDisney! Visiting Magic Kingdom Park is always a great idea but on New Year's Eve? It’s an absolute belter!

Good news for us Brits – the date-based 14-day Magic Ticket you’ve got covers the 31st of December 2024 (as long as it’s within your date range). No extra ticket or Park reservation faff required! Just bear in mind, that the parks (especially Magic Kingdom Park) can be heaving on New Year’s Eve. There's always a chance the park could close if it hits capacity, so my top tip is to get in early and get ready to enjoy a full park day. I would not risk popping out for a breather, because if they hit capacity, you may not be getting back in.

Once you're there, it’s non-stop party vibes. In recent years, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade has spread cheer, and there are dance parties scattered all over. The pièce de résistance is the fireworks – a proper showstopper to ring in the New Year, Disney-style.

I hope this info helps, Chris, and that you have a truly epic adventure at Walt Disney World. Here’s to your best New Year's Eve celebration yet!

    Cheers,
    Louise
