Hi there, Gena!
Welcome to planDisney! What a frightfully fun day you’ve got planned! Disney Springs by day and
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party by night? Now that’s what I call a spook-tacular double feature!
Gena, you’re spot-on. Because there’s no direct Disney transportation from Disney Springs to Magic Kingdom, your idea to take a bus to Disney’s Contemporary Resort and then walk or ride the monorail over is a good workaround.
That said, here’s a tip that just might make your journey feel a little more magical: try using the
My Disney Experience app’s “Get Directions” feature. When I tested it out myself, it actually suggested walking from Disney Springs to
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and catching a bus from there. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk, depending on where you are in Disney Springs, and then a smooth ride to Magic Kingdom. Bonus: There's plenty of peaceful scenery along the way to enjoy.
Now for the return trip! Since buses don’t go from Magic Kingdom back to Disney Springs at the end of the night, I definitely recommend parking your car closer to the action if you can. Moving your car to Transportation and Ticket Center (Magic Kingdom Parking) makes for a much smoother pumpkin ride home after all the trick-or-treating.
If you do find yourself parked at Disney Springs, and you're feeling like Cinderella after midnight, rideshare options like
Minnie Van service via the Lyft app might be available. Disney Cast Members drive them and come with a sprinkle of pixie dust, plus a Disneyfied playlist if you're lucky!
I hope this helped answer your question. If you need any more tips for your magical day, we’re always here to help!
Wishing you a wickedly wonderful night filled with ghoulish delights, rare character sightings, and lots (and lots!) of candy!
