Ahoy there, Joshua! Welcome to planDisney!
Ah, the "have to take a later flight to be sure we can make it back home" dilemma. I've definitely been in your shoes, and on more than one occasion, I've spent far too long at the Orlando International Airport trying to pass the time. One trip we were there so long that I was certain they were going to build a glass box around me and make me the second version of "The Traveler" art piece...
In any case, I'm so glad you're making plans to spend a bit of time at
Disney Springs after your Disney Cruise Line vacation! I know it definitely feels like Sadness is at the console on debarkation day, so anything you can do to stretch out the MAGIC and bring Joy back into the equation is a great idea! There's so much to see and do at Disney Springs, I have no doubt you'll be able to fill the time before your flight! While you're there, be sure to check out the
Marketplace Co-Op for some of the coolest souvenirs around!
Unfortunately, your options for luggage storage for your plans are limited, since Bell Services is typically reserved for Guests arriving for, or leaving from, a stay at their Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotel. However, given that you are an international Guest coming from a Disney Cruise Line vacation, you could try calling
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (within walking distance of Disney Springs) and inquiring with them directly based on your situation - it may be a tall order, but could be worth the call!
If you will be driving a rental car from Port Canaveral to Disney Springs, I do know for a fact that the garages are regularly patrolled by security. Whether that offers you enough peace of mind for the safety of your luggage is for you to decide, and this option obviously won't help if you're taking a taxi from Port Canaveral!
My one wildcard suggestion is depending on the size of your luggage, you may consider a detour to EPCOT's International Gateway which is one of the
locker rental locations that offers the "Jumbo" lockers. As of February 2022, these lockers cost $15 per day and measure 17" x 22" x 26" and may allow you to drop at least a few bags while you head to Disney Springs!
I wish I had the "phenomenal cosmic power" to grant your wish of a guaranteed secure location for your luggage, Joshua, but I do hope you find somewhere suitable for at least a few of your bags to lighten your load before your journey home. Thank you again for your question, and if you come up with any additional questions as you continue planning, please drop me a line!
Fair winds and following seas,
Andrew
