We are planning on spending Christmas at the park, however I noticed that on Christmas day the MVMCP is not available. If we opt to go on the 19th does the ticket that I buy for that event include access to the entire park for the entire day?

    Hi Liz ~

Spending Christmas at Disney World is amazing! The parks and resorts are gorgeous.

This year, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) will take place on select evenings from November 7th - December 19th, 2014. Special event tickets are now on sale and some evenings are already sold out.

They do not offer MVMCP on Christmas day but in the past some of the events that took place during MVMCP were featured like Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. We don't know if that will be the case this year or so keep an eye on the entertainment schedule for the Magic Kingdom (MK) closer to your trip.

The official MVMCP hours are 7 p.m. - midnight. If you are only going to MVMCP, you will only need a special event ticket for MVMCP. When Guests enter the MK for MVMCP, they are given a wristband which easily indicates to Cast Members that they have purchased a MVMCP event ticket. Cast Members are stationed throughout the park and will ask Guests to show their wristbands. Only Guests with wristbands for that evening's event are allowed to enter or remain in the park once MVMCP begins at 7 p.m.

If you are only going to the MK during the day up until MVMCP begins at 7 p.m., you will only need a regular admission ticket to enter.

If you are planning to go to the MK during the day and attend MVMCP that evening, you will need a regular admission ticket during the day and a special event ticket for that evening. There will be a couple of places in the park you can get your special event ticket scanned and get your wristband for the party so you do not have to leave and re-enter the park.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
