Hello, Franco!
Christmas at Walt Disney World is so magical, your family is in for such a treat!
Planning upcoming holiday travels to WDW is easier if you look at the historical happenings in and around the parks and resorts. Research past events (and keep an eye on 2012 events) to get a better idea of what to expect for 2013.
A favorite
unofficial source of information about WDW is allears.net. There, search "Christmas" and you'll find postings regarding various events in several resorts. Such activities have included visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, Holiday Mickey and Minnie, carolers and other live holiday musicians, a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and more! According to mousesavers.com, Beach Club, Yacht Club and BoardWalk resorts have edible Christmas displays as does the Contemporary Resort, which is right next to Bay Lake Tower.
Member Services states that info about 2012 Christmas happenings at DVC resorts will be available in October. We've noticed that the usual poolside and Community Hall activities are not only more
numerous on
holidays, but also
themed to that particular holiday. You'll be kept in the holiday spirit as you celebrate Christmas and Christmas Eve with DVC!
For a little extra holiday magic, call
Disney Floral & Gifts at (407) 939-4438 to arrange for special holiday decorations for your DVC villa or studio. I took a tour of the facility this past December and was amazed by the hundreds of pre-lit frosted, decorated mini-Christmas trees, holiday gift baskets and floral arrangements which were ready for delivery to Guests throughout the resorts. Check the website above sometime a bit later in July for an updated list of options so you'll know what to expect for 2013.
Send more questions as you think of them; I'd love to help!
