Planning on spending Christmas day in Disney world , where can you go for a nice christmas lunch , christmas eve dinner? Also any good ideas on how to surprise the kids on Christmas morning with their gifts?

Hi, Gloria! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The most magical time of the year, coupled with the most magical place on Earth is certainly an excellent and exciting combination! I am so happy for you and your family! There are many fantastic Disney Restaurants at which you can find a plentitude of delicious food. My current concern would be that many Disney Restaurants may already have their maximum number of Advanced Dining Reservations, so you may have to look at what is available by either booking online or by calling Disney Dining. One of my favorite places at which to dine during the holidays is Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park, where you can find mashed potatoes, turkey and all of your favorite holiday staples! If you are looking for a Character dining experience, then I suggest Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, here, you get to meet Minnie, Mickey and their friends dressed in their best holiday attire! I also suggest keeping an eye open on the Disney Parks Blog for additional information about seasonal dining!

As for surprising your kiddos, I have seen parents wrap-up helium filled balloons which had “We’re going to Walt Disney World Resort” written on them! I think that would be a fun way to surprise them as they are opening their gifts on Christmas morning! If you search YouTube there are a number of other creative examples of parents surprising their children with this fantastic gift! I have never been able to keep our Walt Disney World Resort vacations a secret from my kids because I get too darned excited myself!

Wishing you a very merry Walt Disney World Resort Vacation!

    See you again real soon,

    Jen
